Quick Summary (Plain Language)

KeepMe is a social accountability app.

• Public by default: Promises you create are visible at a public link.
• Minimal data: We collect only what's needed — your name, email, and the promises you write.
• Emails: We only send you reminders about your promises. No marketing spam.
• Keepers: If you invite someone to be your Keeper by email, they'll get a one-time invite and a single reminder. Nothing else.
• Vendors: We use Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (email).
• Control: You can delete promises in-app or contact us to remove your data.

That's it. Transparency and trust are the foundation of accountability.

What We Collect

• Your inputs: name, email, and promises (text + deadlines).
• Optional inputs: Keeper emails if you invite friends.
• Technical logs: basic data from our hosting providers (e.g., IP, browser).
• Cookies/analytics: We do not use tracking cookies or marketing analytics at this stage.

How We Use Your Data

• To create and display promises publicly.
• To send transactional emails (promises, reminders, Keeper invites).
• To notify you when Keepers join or deadlines arrive.
• To maintain and improve the service.

We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.

Promise Visibility

Promises are public by default. Anyone with the link can view them.

If you don't want a promise to be public, don't post it on KeepMe.

Keepers and Invites

When you add someone's email as a Keeper:

• We only use it to send them a one-time invite and a single reminder.
• Their email is stored only as long as the promise is active.
• We never reuse, sell, or market to Keeper addresses.

Data Retention and Deletion

• Promises and associated data are kept until you delete them.
• You can delete promises directly in the app.
• You may request full deletion of your data by emailing privacy@keepme.to.

Third-Party Providers

We rely on trusted third-party services:

• Supabase (database, authentication)
• Vercel (hosting and deployment)
• Resend (email delivery)

These providers process data only to run our app.

Security

We use industry-standard security to protect data in transit and at rest. No system is perfect, but we work to keep your information safe.

Children's Privacy

KeepMe is not intended for children under 13 (or the age required by your local law). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your data. Contact us at privacy@keepme.to to exercise those rights.
